Degenerate heat equations in geometry and population genetics
[アブストラクト]
I will describe some new analytic techniques to derive sharp regularity results for solutions of a few classes of degenerate linear heat equations. One is the heat equation on a space with conic or edge singularities, and I will show how these regularity results lead to some new results for the Ricci flow on conic surfaces; the other is for the class of generalized Kimura diffusions, which are continuum limits of Wright-Fisher Markov processes in population genetics.
