News:
In the workshop "Amenability, coarse embeddability and fixed point properties", which is a part of the program "Geometric Group Theory" at the MSRI. Berkeley, USA, I was invited to a talk. The topic was "superintrinsic synthesis in fixed point properties", see preprint [2] and proceedings manuscript [1]. My talk was on 8th, Dec., 2016. (02/Nov/2016; 10/Dec/2016)
By the Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research Abroad by the JSPS, I have a two-year stay at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland to work with Professor Nicolas Monod. The duration is from 25th, August, 2016 to 24th August, 2018. (30/Jul/2016; 29/Aug/2016)
I gave a minicourse in a conference "Rigidity School 2016". The title of the minicourse is "Synthesis in property (T): The Part and the Whole." I focused on the "Synthesis Step" to prove fixed point properties directly for discrete groups, and overview classics and recent progress. I wish to express my gratitude to the organizers and to the audience. (20/Jul/2016; 27/jul/2016)
I gave an intensive lecture in Graduate School of Mathematics, Nagoya University. The schedule is from 6th, June, 2016 to 10th, June, 2016. The tile is "Kazhdan's property (T) and fixe point property: Old and New."(26/Apr/2016; 14/Jun/2016)
I presented a special talk in the Geometry section in the MSJ (the Mathematical Society of Japan) Autumn Meeting 2015. The topic of my talk is on and around preprint [2].(26/Jun/2015; 15/Sep/2015)
I am invited as a plenary speaker to the confernce "Geometry on Groups and Spaces", which is a satellite conference of ICM 2014; and I have presented a plenary talk. (7/Apr/2014; 10/Aug/2014)
In December 2011, I gave an introductory mini-course (3 lectures) on Kazhdan's property (T) at the conference "Analysis and Geometry of Discrete Groups and Hyperbolic Spaces" at RIMS(Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Kyoto University). This mini-course treats basics on property (T); and my recent result (on preprint [4] in the "List of Papers"). (20/Dec/2011)
In March, 2011, I finished my Ph.D course at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School pf Mathematical Sciences (Ph.D advisor: Taka Ozawa). From 1. April, 2011 to 30, Apr, 2012, I was a JSPS postdoctral fellow there (postdoc advisor: Masahiko Kanai). (1/Apr/2011; 1/May/2012)
I have finished my long stay at EPFL (Switzerland, Lausanne) for the period 15 February 2010-- 11 January, 2011, with the financial support by JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science). The purpose of this stay is an entrustment of the guidance of my study to Professor Nicolas Monod. (11/Jan/2011; 15/Feb/2010; 10/Jan/2010)
