About the conference

The main purpose of this series of conferences is to bring together researchers from Pacific Rim countries that are interested in areas in Geometry and Global Analysis, and to provide a forum where they can exchange ideas and new results. The first conference of this series was held in Hong Kong in 1992, and then, in every two years, in Singapore, Seoul and Vancouver.

The Fifth Pacific Rim Geometry Conference will be held on the campus of the Faculty of Science, Tohoku University from July 25 to July 28, 2000 by the organizers listed below, with the cooperation of the Mathematical Institute under the support by Sendai Tourism and Convention Bureau, the Kawai Foundation for the Promotion of Mathematical Science, and the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
